Wow, so the day is staring us in the face - tomorrow we board a flight to Dallas, then Santiago, Chile, a final hop over the Andes Mountains to Cordoba, Argentina and then a 2 hour van ride to Rafaela. We'll spend about 24 hours in transit before finally arriving at our initial ministry location, and then all of the adventure really begins!
Are we ready? Yes and no. We'll have our material needs ready, we have a general idea of what our jam-packed itinerary looks like and know what we intend to accomplish at key points along the way. It's hard to plan for the God factor - the mysterious yet potent stages He is already planning a drama to unfold in which we are to play some small part. The only thing we can do for that is rest in Him, saturate ourselves in His truths and show up surrendered to whatever purpose He reveals!
God has provided so much...In the last days the hazards that had been looming in regards to funding and rising expenses (retreat for church planters) were amazingly overcome. We were able to coordinate purchasing gifts for the church planters and their wives which we hope will be a small token of blessing to them and encourage them in their valiant frontier work.
Keep praying for the hearts of the hundreds of people we'll have the opportunity to represent Christ to. Pray for readiness to respond to the Gospel, readiness to encounter counter-cultural truths about marriage, readiness to dive into a life in Christ that consumes to the point of utter transformation!
We look forward to coming back and sharing the celebration stories with you!
