So far it's been a great start to the trip. Today we celebrated the birthday of the founding pastor, David Ibarra, with a BBQ at his home. Wow. As they warned us, eating meat is a spiritual experience in Argentina! Very good...it will be hard to return to eating American beef ever again. :)
Tonight we launched the first marriage conference session going over the "ciclo loco" (crazy cycle). about 150 people showed up (expect more tomorrow since today was a work day). One couple - a Jewish lady married to a Lebanese man who are planting a church in Chile (that's a story in itself), drove 14 hours to come. It went wonderfully. Besides a lot of stirring among marrieds (old, young, engaged), there were at least a few that responded to the gospel presentation at the end of the evening!
Tomorrow we're meeting with some local church planters, speaking at a mother's day luncheon for women (tomorrow is mother's day in Argentina), then we split for me to speak at a youth conference (on ¨Power truths that change everything¨) and the concluding sessions of the marriage conference. Jacqui's double-dipping by sharing her testimony at the start of the youth conference with me and then driving back to teach a session on the energizing cycle at the marriage conference. We'll be going pretty nonstop until around 11pm tomorrow and we are excited to see what God has in store for us through it all.
Thanks for all of your prayers, encouragement and support...keep celebrating along with us!
